The Division of Gas and Oil (DGO) will respond to complaints concerning gas well development activities within 24 hours whenever possible, but no later than five days after the complaint is filed. A DGO Inspector will contact the complainant to obtain more information on the nature of the complaint and will then conduct an investigation. When the investigation has been completed, the Inspector will deliver a copy of the final report to the complainant and provide an explanation of the findings. If aggrieved by the findings, the complainant may appeal the findings to the DGO Director. Complainants may choose to file their complaints anonymously. All records related to the complaint are public information.
