OFFICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATION
Provides comprehensive information and public relations services to DMME Divisions, customers, and stakeholders. Lead the implementation of outreach, regulatory and governmental strategies.
The Office of Public Information plans, implements and monitors effective public relations/information services and records management programs for (DMME) to help ensure agency compliance with the VA Freedom of Information Act and Public Records Act requirements; and manage the Customer Assistance Center, Central Files and Big Stone Gap Office Reception. The Public Relations Manager plays a significant role in defining and explaining strategic direction through education, advocacy and outreach and coordinates and organizes the many voices within DMME into a consistent and effective single voice.
