Never enter an abandoned or orphaned mines sites. Shafts can be hidden, collapse, contain toxic gas or other dangers. Swimming in an abandoned quarry is very dangerous; the water temperature can be extremely cold and abandoned equipment is often below the water surface. Each year people are killed on abandoned mine sites.
